World food crisis impacts girls…
Of the 345 million people who are severely hungry in the world, nearly 60% are women and girls.
Women in these communities are key workers in planting, gathering and processing of food. But they disproportionately suffer from food poverty, with a higher risk of malnutrition and hunger than men.
Women face discrimination, low and often non-existent income, and limited decision-making power, both within the household and in political spheres. This also has a big impact on their daughters.
All of these inequalities contribute to food poverty
for both women and girls.
Young girls in rural villages are the most likely to get overlooked when it comes to meeting nutritional needs.
This doesn’t have to be the case. Through KGF partners, girls are receiving help with their schooling, tutoring, and most importantly, nutritious meals!
Help her have a healther, brighter future. Give today so that more girls in rural India can receive nutritious meals, daily.
